The 64-year-old rock “Bryan Adams” legend will start his five-city tour in India on December 10, with performances scheduled in Shillong, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams is all set to return to India this December with his much-awaited So Happy It Hurts tour. Marking his sixth visit to the country, Adams had earlier left fans mesmerized during his tours in 1993-1994, 2001, 2006, 2011, and 2018.

The warmth and enthusiasm of the Indian audience always draw me back. The energy at every concert here is unmatched.” Speaking of how he feels about performing in India, Adams said:

As one of the most enduring figures in global music, Adams has a knack for keeping his sound fresh while staying true to his roots. “I stay grounded by sticking to what I love about music, but I also explore new ways to stay relevant,” he explained. “India’s incredible cultural diversity has played a big role in shaping my creativity. It inspires me to evolve and connect with different audiences, ensuring each performance is one-of-a-kind.”

He also talks about that unique energy that Indian fans provide for his performances. According to him, “Performing in India is special due to the diversity and vibrancy of the audience. Every concert feels like an expression of local energy, and deep connections.” The bond for him with India is definitely more than just music. “What I love about India is the people, the food, and the culture. Every time I am here, I like to discover new places and of course indulge in the fantastic local cuisine.”

As he prepares to once again perform before thousands of fans, Bryan Adams continues to celebrate the deep relationship he shares with India, a bond as timeless as the music that has defined him over the years.

For an example, Summer of ’69 and (Everything I Do) I Do It for You – those iconic songs continue striking up in fans of all age categories. “Songs like Summer of ’69 and Everything I Do last because they touch us at levels we all touch on in our lives-timeless themes of love and youth and longing,” according to the artist.

The past years, Adams says, he could feel a change in the depth of his music being emotive. “Playing these songs now feels different,” he confessed. “The lyrics carry more emotional weight, and it’s amazing to see how these songs have become part of so many people’s lives.”

Despite this evolution, however, his approach to songwriting is consistent. “I still write songs the same way I always have—spontaneously, inspired by emotions and moments,” he shared. For Adams, it’s about “capturing that initial spark and allowing the song to develop naturally.”

Looking back on his remarkable career, Adams pointed out the tracks that have shaped his journey. “Reckless and Summer of ’69 have become integral to my identity as an artist. They embody everything I’ve invested in my music,” he said.

Even after decades of success, Bryan Adams is eager to venture into new territory. “I’m always open to collaborating with artists from various genres. There’s so much potential for experimentation, and I’m excited to see what the future brings in terms of new sounds and partnerships,” he added.
